What a terrible shame.

Ugh, poor woman. I hope she's being well looked after and getting appropriate counselling, it sounds like a traumatic experience.

AdoreTheBeach · 01/11/2019 10:52

That’s horrendous. I’m so surprised with his record, he’s been given bail? Detail, repeat sexual predator plus this fine abduction and held the woman since August?

Doyoumind · 01/11/2019 10:59

Good for her. The most shocking parts of that article are that he claimed what happened to him was pretty tragic Hmm and that no one would let the poor woman in and give her help until she had run half a mile naked, covered in blood and screaming for help Shock

MrGsFancyNewVagina · 01/11/2019 10:59

Aw nuts! I’m sure the poor pervert felt a right dick. Oh that’s right....Wink

I really hope they couldn’t reattach it. The problem is, this pervert will be even more dangerous because he will be even angrier towards women.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/11/2019 07:42

“I didn’t open the door because you never know what’s going on with that kind of stuff,” she said. ”She was saying, ‘Help me, help me, help me,’ and I said, ‘No, honey, we need to call the police.’”

What the hell? That reads like something out of those films, The Purge. Won't open the door to a woman she could tell was distressed? I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like to live somewhere that means having to think like that!

Fucking horrendous all round!

BeMoreMagdalen · 02/11/2019 07:51

Let's examine that headline, shall we? Let's look at how the focus is on the fucking penis, not on the fact that she was being assaulted, because that's so run of the mill it isn't worth noting alone.

Karabair · 02/11/2019 07:54

She fled for her life. Women jump out of windows or run away naked when the know a man is going to try to kill them. Instinct takes over.

Bail beggars belief. The coverage this will get means that someone will have to answer for that decision though.

Snowglobes · 02/11/2019 08:04

Released on bail? Unbelievable

Karabair · 02/11/2019 08:08

If men use their penises as weapons against us, women have the right to disarm them.

picklemepopcorn · 02/11/2019 08:20

I misunderstood your thread title- I read it as 'woman bites off man's penis during sexual assault (on him)'

I thought it was unusual!

Passthecherrycoke · 02/11/2019 08:22

I remember seeing a 24 hours in A&E / police custody type programme where this happened. The police were at the hospital with the victim and warned the hospitals that a man with a bitten off penis might appear. Sure enough a man with a blood soaked torso collapsed in the ambulance bay. The medics all ran out to help, realised who he was and let the police drag him in in cuffs. Wonderful stuff

Karabair · 02/11/2019 08:24

That’s because they’ve made her the active participant when he was the rapist. They keep men out of the headlines when it comes to rape.

Broken11Girl · 02/11/2019 08:27

Good for her. Hope they couldn't reattach it or at least it doesn't workGrin

littleducks · 02/11/2019 08:40

Tbh I'm more shocked she knocked on multiple doors naked and covered in blood but nobody opened them for half a mile til she got to a shop.

SpamChaudFroid · 02/11/2019 09:39

Why's he not locked up like other repeat offenders? (rhetorical question, I know why Sad)

I hope the survivor's being well supported. Brave woman.

Qcng · 02/11/2019 22:03

Christ.
I'd have thought it was virtually impossible to actually bite the thing off she probably just ripped a hole in it.

I remember hearing how a woman squeezed one of her attacker's testicle so hard it actually burst, and he threw up from the pain.

All good self defense ideas...

Voice0fReason · 02/11/2019 22:21

Poor woman, what a horrific thing to experience.
Her survival instinct served her well.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 02/11/2019 22:22

It was pretty bad, pretty tragic, what happened to me.

I'm finding it almost impossible to control my howls of laughter at the bastard's fate.

The most shocking thing was no one answering the door. I can't imagine living somewhere so full of threat that responding like that is excusable. I gather places like that are not uncommon in the USA. Sad.

KarenTheChocIce · 02/11/2019 22:27

What an extremely powerful and inspirational women I might start doing this next time

TheQueef · 02/11/2019 22:30

What a shame.
I hope it didn't hurt her teeth.

isabellerossignol · 02/11/2019 22:39

It's not just there though. A lot of posters on mumsnet are forever saying that they wouldn't open their door to someone they weren't expecting, under any circumstances. I've seen posters asked about what they'd do if someone needed help and the response is often 'someone else will help'. Sad

"Slaton's address is listed as the location of a nonprofit called Jesus Saves Ministries, and Slaton as its registered agent. According to that listing, the organization was incorporated in 2011 and remains in good standing...

Records show deputies have responded to Slaton's home dozens of times in the past several years.

Kimberly Mabry, who lives across the street from Slaton and next to Fair, said Slaton has regularly harassed and threatened people in the neighborhood since he moved into the house several years ago.

His erratic behavior often makes others feel unsafe, she said.

"The simple fact is that you don't know what he's going to do," she said.

Classic sociopath.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 03/11/2019 09:13

I've only ever lived in England, including a decade in various bits of London. I've never lived anywhere where I'd refuse to answer my door. In fact I've gone outside without being asked when I heard a woman in great distress in the street. She needed an ambulance so I called her one.

It's weird, isabellerossignol. I can understand people not answering the door in areas where you get drive-by shootings, but in most parts of the UK it's very safe. Perhaps some people are particularly anxious.

Babdoc · 03/11/2019 09:58

Aw, poor little rapist, what a shame.
To quote the Sergeant Major from It Ain’t Half Hot Mum: “Oh dear, how sad, never mind!”
Prawn, I think it was in the U.S., not the U.K., and that bastard had been terrorising the neighbourhood, so I suppose people were understandably nervous about opening doors.

SpamChaudFroid · 03/11/2019 10:33

Testicles are weak aren't they - how does the saying go - "Why would I want to grow a pair of balls, balls are weak and vulnerable. Whereas vaginas are tough and withstand a pounding" Something like that.
