Feminism 2020 Conference in NZ has venue pulled following campaign by TRAs

I haven't been following this closely so have only now seen that the university venue for this event with Meghan Murpy has been cancelled due to "safety" fears.

The cancellation of the Feminist 2020 event is currently being discussed on the NZ Rachel Stewart thread, and yes it was utterly outrageous that Massey University administration is so spineless. I posted this masterly put down on the other thread, but it's worth repeating I think.

Why, if it there have been threats to the safety of women, or the university itself, are the police not all over it arresting those making the threats? Why are not the police more heavily involved in protecting public order?
