...is it any good? Or is it in practice going to be "inclusive" of everyone but women? It looked ok....

If it’s ‘Women into Leadership’, yes. [http://www.womenintoleadership.co.uk/]

I went last year and it was great. Really motivating. I should revisit my notes!

They are trans inclusive, as in: I saw at least 1 transwoman there. I have no problem with this (provided their employer didn’t have limited places and a woman was refused). but I would think very differently if they had been a speaker- I wouldn’t want someone like Pips Bunce telling me how to be a confident leader.

Incidentally during an Q&A session, there was a clearly-male voice on the mic. The women behind me started saying ‘is that a shim?’ Which I thought was actual transphobia. It turns out it was a guy who managed women and wanted tips on how to support them. (I’m not sure he should be at the ‘for women’ conference, though perhaps it woke him up to sexism etc. but again I hope he didn’t take a woman’s place).
