Short film by an endocrinologist, Dr. Michael K. Laidlaw, explaining effects of blockers. Shows film in us of group suggesting children aged 8 access them.

This is a medical scandal of epic proportions.

Hmm. Dr Laidlaw is a bit of a bogeyman on this. He appears to approach trans issues from the antifeminist perspective not that the concept of gender identities is pernicious oppression, but that certain gender identities are attached to certain bodies. That the problem with Lupron is that it prevents boys from growing up into proper manly men.

The slides on this clip are certainly quite skewed and cherry picking.

This tweet on puberty blockers has remained in my files, because it spells out the dangers and the false hope these poor children have about 'being born in the wrong body'.

The long term implications on bone density of starting kids on those drugs at 8 and keeping them on them for years scare me.
