I'll try to keep track, I have already seen the stonewall LGBTQIANCHDTHNCH word salad

Good luck! Please report back and be interesting to see who delivers it and what their angle is.

Melroses · 23/09/2019 08:47

Registering here for the report back

You demand a safe space and a colour coded lanyard scheme to help you feel included.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 23/09/2019 08:50

*you should

OP do you want us to tie a rope around you so we can haul you out if you get stuck down the rabbit hole?

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 23/09/2019 10:13

Jeez. Have you got some Valium to get you through the torture?

Patnotpending · 23/09/2019 10:51

A friend who has been trough it asked lots of very polite and slightly puzzled questions. 'I must be missing something, I think, because I don't understand why...' 'But I thought sex was a protected characteristic so presumably we have to consult all the women in the building before making toilets unisex?' 'I'm just wondering how this fits with our safeguarding policy – I assume you've consulted those involved in that?' Ask whether lesbians and Muslim women have been consulted.

MouthyHarpy · 23/09/2019 11:29

Patno that is very very helpful. I suspect I'll be in for one of these soon. I must memorise those questions.

placemats · 23/09/2019 11:42

Sex and religion is protected. And there are obvious clashes. The only ones who need education on this are those who organise such events. I suspect that this is all in collaboration with the union, if it exists, and stonewall.

NewNameGuy · 23/09/2019 14:57

Did it.

You know it wasn't half as bad as I expected, no mermaids presentation!

One great thing is that at least 3 times people either said or wrote sex, and i didn't see gender identity listed at all (just GR as per ea2010).

No live Q&A but I wouldn't have had the balls to ask anything anyway in front of 400 people

More notes later on a real keyboard.
:)

That's good news. I was dismayed to have a request for my "gender" for my doctors online services today.

Drives me batty.

Well done op!
