Apparently a fear of penguins is known as sphenisciphobia. It's the same term as is used for a fear of nuns.

FIL was bitten by one at Birdland when he attempted to pat its head. (A penguin, not a nun. He'd have never tried to pat a nun's head. )

I realise that chromosomes are irrelevant these days - but birds are not XX female XY male.
They have a different system - females are ZW (heterogametic) and males are ZZ.

Same system is found in some insects, fish and reptiles too.

Looks like penguins can have multiple Z chromosomes.
