Hi, I have searched and searched, but cannot find this clip that I want to show friends as part of a presentation on why I am GC.

It is about three minutes long, and is of a top female 'expert' gender therapist in USA. She is lecturing about pre verbal children and how they might show signs of being trans. Examples she gives are tearing out a barette hair clip, or opening a onesie to make it into a dress. 🙄

Any help appreciated.

I think that is the Mermaids founders TED talk, though I could be wrong.

Olson-kennedy?
Isn't the onesie incident referring to that poor kid Jazz Jennings?

I haven't got the clip, but I think you're taking about Johanna Olson Kennedy?

X-post!

MrsWooster the clip of Dr Diane Ehrensaft is the one I thought of from the OP's description.

I can't believe that people take this utter bollocks seriously - so a girl who doesn't like clips in her hair is giving a gender message is she? If I saw a child doing this my first thought wouldn't be ' oh, this child must really be a boy' it would be 'oh, this child does not like having grips in her hair'

God I can't watch it twice

Hope this helps OP, Dr Diane is what came to mind from your description and I think can also be seen in Louis Theroux's Transgender Kids BBC doc

Hope the link works

Dr D comparing cancer treatment to gender dysmorphia affirmation and blaming parents for wanting to be grandparents (no parent is thinking about their desire for grandchildren when they want to preserve and protect their child's fertility, I don't think that is the reason for it to be a concern).
