Ealing Broadway are turning the women's toilet into a mixed sex toilet while keeping the men's toilet just for males.

Just playing devil's advocate, but after this work they'll have 2 cubicles (current ladies and disabled). Are you sure they're not just going to close the gents once "unisex" facilities are available and the two "all purpose" cubicles is all they'll have? They wouldn't close them yet as it would increase demand on the disabled cubicle but that sign doesn't state that the men's will stay open after the work's done.

Any sign of an equality impact statement?

There was later tweet from TfL that said the poster should have said 'separate' male and female toilets.

However, I'm still unclear if converting the female toilets into separate male and female ones means a loss of female toilets overall?

given the size of TFL as an organisation, it's quite possible that there's only one person in the Ops team who knows....well, the edict will have come from some directors but goodness knows how long it will take to track them down. Or if they remember issuing the edict.
