I've just seen this on the Twatter from Safe Schools Alliance. It's an A4 printable of their aims and objectives. It's intended as a resource for contacting MPs and other representatives. I'm going to send it off to mine tomorrow, I think.

Nothing to disagree with there, is there?

In my situation, I was told by a colleague in a management role that the Transgendertrend toolkit for schools wasn’t compliant with the EA2010. This colleague said she was told by a charity who advise schools on SRE, who in turn told me they were told by Stonewall. Stonewall told me the toolkit promoted “exclusion” and pointed me in the direction of their statement linked to above, but gave no evidence of any breach of the EA2010, just their own opinions.

So this falsehood has grown legs and run, without being investigated by anyone at any stage before it’s been fed to schools as the truth.

This print off sheet is really useful. I'll be sending it to my kid's Head, to my LEA, and to my MP

I especially like the paragraph about sexism, and how genderism ''severely limits the opportunities for children to develop into well-rounded, balanced and diverse individuals.''

@truthisarevolutionaryact thanks for that, will share with other SSAUK people. I think we have discussed it but we need to revisit. Too much on our to do list!

Really glad to know people are using our resources and finding them helpful.

@FamilyOfAliens in Oxfordshire we naively thought as soon as the LAs legal team got hold of what we said it would all be over. But shockingly no!

We are and they are.

@GColdtimer

Thanks for the heads up.

I’m lucky in that I’m planning on moving in the next couple of years and I’m financially independent, so I’ll do whatever it takes to try to stop my LA from making policy that discriminated against women and girls.

We are reviewing the guidance and will put something out soon. Pesky school holidays and day jobs somewhat getting in the way. Thanks for the reminder truth. If anyone here has time on their hands and would like to join our gang then please PM me.

That's a very useful link. I'm going to share the print off with Teacher & Governor friends.
