Singing about songs about 'Terf Genocide' is what passes for progressive it seems

In which a man uses metal to fight misogyny by creating 'ironic' violent music about women he disagrees with.
Its pornogrind (the same genre that the recent US shooter created) but this time it's feminist so that's okay.
He thoughtfully uses violence to create shock value so we'll think about how bad we are and presumably Learn A Valuable Lesson.
And of course to prove his feminist credentials, he also creates violent lyrics aimed at men.

This has to be the stupidest, most self-absorbed nonsense I've seen in a while.

The irony meter completely breaks under the weight of this particular comment:
I think a lot of misogynists don’t even realise they are being shitheads. It’s kinda just accepted to treat women this way or that way. I’m hoping that some dudes out there will reflect upon the lyrics and say “oh shit – I’m an asshole.”

I dont think it's possible for me to roll my eyes any harder. This rubbish is up on both Spotify and Amazon Music by the way.

I've complained to Amazon to get it removed. I didn't listen, didn't need to, the song titles were enough. The Dayton shooter was the lead singer of a 'pornogrind' band and the song titles were the most offensive things I have seen in a long time. Vile.

It's supposed to be ironic but in a way that indicates he really doesn't get it.
So pornogrind is usually violent often sexual lyrics aimed at women. His version is violent lyrics aimed at men and 'terfs' instead.

This was his comment about the song:
It’s easy to shock, but the shock should open the door to something revelatory. Take ‘TERF Genocide’ from the new EP. I obviously don’t want people I disagree with to die, but the shock of the lyrics coupled with the line “fuck off and die… metaphorically” is my way of saying “hey guys, look at your rhetoric, your ideals are fucked up, sort them out.”

FWIW, there are at least a few trans activists who've tweeted approvingly about it.so guess they didn't get that it's not meant to be taken at face value.

I can't help thinking that the whole 'I only use violent language and imagery against my female opponent to make a point' thing is very male and not any kind of feminism I've ever seen, despite his claims of it.

Men threatening violence against me doesn't make me think its my ideals that are fucked up, funnily enough.

One cannot advocate for genocide of women and pretend it's "in jest."

Some have already pointed out the cultural genocide of lesbians. Sadly this comes as no surprise.

Male-perpetrated violence against women and girls - and the promotion of it - is so rife that it is seen as normal. Women who complain about it are dismissed and called names. It's all part of the dehumanising process.

Nobody wants to tackle the problem because it's too big.

And god forbid we should all call it out for what it is and demand action. Bloody women.
