Sorry, just had to rant when I saw this. The lack of self awareness is colossal.

It's just really bugs me that this right on inclusiveness actually excludes the women who really are unable, or too uncomfortable to attend, when males are there - such as women from some BME communities, or certain religions or those who may be so affected by past experiences of male violence that they feel unable to attend if males are there . Why do these women have to be pushed aside to include males who identify as women? Why is it always women who are pushed aside to make room for others?

That word womxn is so offensive.

Exclusive inclusivity.

Really. Exclusionary privilege in action.

The world's gone mad!

Oh! I read it as being for men who identify as trans “women”. The ground is always shifting on this, but I don’t “identify as a woman”, I am a woman. Same as I don’t “identify” as a white person, a mum, etc - they are just facts about me.

But if it’s open to women and people who wish they were, then yes, it’s bloody ridiculous. A fair percentage of these men are attracted to women, so no time away from the male gaze there.

Well I'm a woman, not a womxn so this event clearly isn't for me.

How did this new word get created?
