I plucked up the courage.... Observer front page story

To post it on Facebook . I just shared the Observer's front page story and noted that it was changing its tune.

I wouldn't have dared do this a year ago and I am still concerned about upsetting a trans woman friend whom I greatly admire (for reasons that have nothing to do with the trans thing).

What's the story OP?

TriptychDebbie · 28/07/2019 11:38

Okay, found it.

Hopefully your friend is a supporter of women's rights and will support the post.

You can stop individual people from seeing posts though. It's in the settings and you can set it to public, friends, friends except and only me so you can select your friend which will stop them seeing it.

that's useful to know, thank you.

Thanks for the link *

A slight and very cautiously worded change of direction for the Guardian/Observer, do you think falling sales might be to blame?

MagneticSingularity · 28/07/2019 14:37

Thanks for the link donquixotedelamamcha I meant to say!

My eye was drawn to a link on the page where MB was talking about being 'threatened by other women' 😳 Surely I cant be the only one whose hackles go up when they read that? Are all the women readers of the Guardian really so lost to reality that they accept that statement?

HappyPunky · 28/07/2019 19:11

I sort of think if MB feels threatened by women, MB might be happier keeping facilities and services single sex. That would mean MB isn't vulnerable among women.
