www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7252781/PWC-accountant-24-caught-1-700-upskirt-images-outside-Topshop.html

1700 upskirting images of women!! . Yet women are continually lectured (including on here by various tedious posters) that men are no threat to women and in failing to share all our spaces with them we are simply man haters.

Thank goodness upskirting is now a criminal offence. Despicable.

70sWitch · 16/07/2019 18:09

TopShop you say? Hmmmm.

GrinitchSpinach · 16/07/2019 18:16

Gross. And the defense argued that he deserved leniency because some of the the victims were unaware of his intrusion under their clothes. Gross, gross, gross.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 16/07/2019 18:27

I did note that the magistrate told him that the number of images meant that it exceeds her sentencing powers - hopefully that means a prison sentence.

And the first comment I can see is from someone saying they wouldn't care if a man did that to them because if you've got underwear on there's nothing to see.

TurboTeddy · 16/07/2019 18:31

I believe accountants are exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act so he will have to declare it on job applications for life.

ImpossibleNovelty · 16/07/2019 18:47

TurboTeddy I eye rolled so hard at that comment. Lots of Topshop customers will be young girls. Did she think of that and think they should also be ok with it? It’s utterly predatory.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/07/2019 18:49

Disgusting. Don't they think we're fully human?

Apollo440 · 16/07/2019 18:52

If this was the US their would be a class action law suite by the women who's privacy they enabled to be violated (and they were warned).

Apollo440 · 16/07/2019 18:52

There...tsk

RolyWatts · 16/07/2019 18:54

His uni and degree are relevant how? Oh that's right... It's to persuade the public that he's an alright guy really.

ginandbearit · 16/07/2019 18:54

That comment was probably from a transgenderist who would have been delighted with a snap of their ..er..accoutrements

TurboTeddy · 16/07/2019 18:54

ImpossibleNovelty
It absolutely is predatory, wonder if the person who posted that comment would say the same if it was their teenage daughter. I fucking despair at the "no one was physically harmed so what's the problem" attitude.

I hope he gets a custodial sentence and I hope it gives Top Shop pause for reflection on their changing room policy where this kind of thing could have occurred unnoticed.

sneakypinky · 16/07/2019 19:01

Never happens etc etc etc.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 16/07/2019 19:11

He was apparently spotted by a Topshop store detective (well done that person for being on the ball).
I do wonder whether he had actually been in the changing rooms? It doesn't say that he was but I'm sure that TopShop would be reluctant to admit it if he was, given their 'open house' policy for any passing predators with regards to changing rooms.

OP posts:
truthisarevolutionaryact · 16/07/2019 19:13

Thinking about it, of course Top Shop is an ideal place for someone like him to access women and girls trying on clothes - he would be able to freely access the changing rooms with no challenge?

Imnobody4 · 17/07/2019 17:55

1700 pictures - so how many victims is that. It's one of the things that annoy me when people claim most men aren't dangerous. One man has multiple victims.

Ugh, some of those comments! No it's not "harmless", you horrible men!!!

Ticklemeelmo · 17/07/2019 20:57

I thought there would be comments underneath the article excusing it and I wasn't wrong. Just gross.

TurboTeddy · 17/07/2019 23:22

NottonightJosepheen
I've had a day like that too. Your post cheered me no end. Grin

Oncewasblueandyellowtwo · 17/07/2019 23:57

All of this behaviour was during a short period over Christmas and he will now face professional disciplinary proceedings as a result of this conviction.
A short period were he managed to take 1700 photos. And during the Christmas period when so many women and girls are shopping for Christmas and at the sales after.
And yes those comments on the mail are disgusting. Fuck the whole lot of them.
Anyway nothing to see here,
THIS NEVER HAPPENS
THIS NEVER HAPPENS
THIS NEVER HAPPENS
Oh and if it does get over it you prude.

Erythronium · 18/07/2019 00:34

Everything going for him, privileged male with a golden future and he does this.

What goes on in their heads? Prison is all he deserves.

sneakypinky · 18/07/2019 06:23

I'm starting to think it's safer to just go in men's toilets/changing rooms etc.

Me too, most the perverts will be using the womens now. Of course no doubt we would be thrown out though. Mens spaces are always maintained and policed.
