Well, I did wonder what he'd taken from his own debacle a few months back. I don't think he has liked her tweet without consideration. I know it's just a pro-women speech but as it won't please the trans activists I am hopeful that it's a stance of sorts.

I'm not one to hold a grudge but... I don't think I could ever bring myself to read one of his books at this stage. His research into transgender issues was extremely deficient. His attitude to Glinner was appalling and what he said totally unfounded. He just wants everyone to like hime.

Didn't know who he was till I Googled. Now I have - I can't bring myself to care either.

I don't seem him as an ally but imo he's knowingly put himself on a 'side' with this and it's more the transactivists' reaction I'm thinking of. It takes from his forced apology to them and makes me think, hope, he's educated himself a bit on it all.

I don't think that he has educated himself - after his bashing by the tras, he made some conciliatory gestures to glinner - but then doubled down again and tweeted this. Glinner doesn't deserve it and Boyne can gtf as far as I'm concerned.

About as much chance of this self satisfied twit having seen the light as there is of my winning the lottery (I don't buy tickets).

I am generally quite open and welcoming of people who are starting to reverse-ferret, I get it, we've all had a journey to make on this topic.

But I'm afraid I won't be extending that courtesy to John Boyne. Graham was quite gracious with him after he threw him under the bus the first time, then he turned around and kicked his roadkill for absolutely no benefit to anyone.

He can fuck right off and wallow in his isolation as far as I'm concerned.

I honestly don't see why him liking Alf's tweet is meaningful. Sorry.

I smiled to see it as she is famously GC,has got quite a bit of stick for it, he seemed to do a U-turn on his 'I'm not cis' and apology to Glimmer so when I saw this I thought oh, he's openly supporting AM. Perhaps just perhaps he's starting to get it and also that it might be seen and interpreted similarly by trans activities who thought he'd rolled over for them.

I think men have the luxury of being able to remain entirely oblivious to this whole thing. And he has taken that option.

However, there are men actively putting the boot in so I’ll take a Nigel No-show over them!

Boyne was under pressure from the trans cult for the My Brother's Name is Jessica book and decided to chuck Glinner under the bus to try to earn some brownie points with the target demographic for his book.

Hmm having re-read those tweets you are right. Graham extended an olive branch. JB could have responded neutrally, or even not responded at all (Graham didn’t address or tag him). But instead JB was horrible and dismissive in return.

I think I've been misinterpreted! I'm not a fan of JB! I'm just glad he openly liked a tweet of AM's. I'm probably most pleased it might annoy some people, that's all.

They probably won't care. He's already marked as a raging transphobe for, ahem, writing a sympathetic book about trans people.
