The boundaries are so blurred now, it seems any man can murder any woman and claim "sex game gone wrong" - I never thought it would come to this. Violence against women is literally a sexual fetish.

I sincerely believe that very few women - bar the most niche fetishists - actually want rough sex that leaves bruises, or want to be choked, or asphyxiated.

Reads like a desperate, grasping at straws, defence. I can't imagine the defence seriously expects anyone to swallow it. With the rest of the evidence so stacked against them they can't really come up with any other explanation.

I think its worth being concerned when defences like this work, not so much when they don't. In most countries I don't think people are allowed to consent to being deliberately killed, which would undoubtably be the effect of being cut into parts.

I seriously think we are in an end phase of our culture/civilisation. The part when everything goes to shit & becomes degenerate......It is not just in arena of sexual practice, though, but in almost all areas of our society and culture. We are going in the exact opposite direction from the one the planet and all of its eco-systems and life forms require.
I personally find this a very dark and depressing time, in general.

Yeah, I agree with that, Justhadathought. It is a bit of a downer. I remember Paglia saying a few years ago that the kind of sexual attitudes we see now are characteristic of the end of a civilisation and thinking it was a little overblown.
The worst for me weirdly is that it seems to be in all parts of the political spectrum. I don't know why it bothers me so much except it's difficult to find a place of mental rest.
