Either this is the most close to the knuckle hoax since Brass Eye and the cake, or...it's fucking TERRIFYING.

Yeah. It's not a hoax. 🤢

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 07/07/2019 11:03

The funny thing is their are people still pretending not to see the paedophile connection.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 07/07/2019 11:04

there*

nevernotstruggling · 07/07/2019 11:21

It's Canada?

Yeahnahyeah · 07/07/2019 11:27

100% of the comments are against it. Heartening.

NeurotrashWarrior · 07/07/2019 13:02

I had to watch the start again to clarify that it was a girl at the start basically doing strip show moves. And this is self expression.

And lactacia liking "ginger minge" nicely snuck in there.

"A man dressing as a woman fur entertainment."

NellieEllie · 07/07/2019 20:49

Was just about to post this before seeing already post here. It’s scary how quickly things are moving from drag queen readings in libraries to mainstreaming children doing drag acts. What next? 8yr olds pole dancing? I know this is Canada, but the increase of fetish display in public in U.K. - Pride marches, the assertion that everyone, children included, should see this as ‘natural’ and that especially worrying phrase, “self expression” is like grooming.
Young children have total trust in their parents and other close relatives. They accept what they are told when young as absolute truth without question. The implications of this I think are very worrying.

SunsetBeetch · 07/07/2019 22:19

Jesus wept.

LassOfFyvie · 07/07/2019 23:34

Remove the CBC heading and imagine someone sent you that video to watch. I would immediately report them to the police

One of the Twitter comments.

emerencealwayshopeful · 07/07/2019 23:49

There are pole dancing classes for children. And I do mean children. Toddlers even.

Apparently calling it out as sexualising children makes you the perverted one.

NeurotrashWarrior · 08/07/2019 08:16

Apart from the sexualisation dressed up as "self expression," which is abhorrent, the girl in the piece could be straight out of brass eye.

I can't work out if she's trolling or not. It's literally like watching a 10 year old prancing round pretending to be in a lady ga ga video, badly.

That's the stuff parents are supposed to turn a blind eye to, knowing that it will pass soon, not make sure the entire world watches.

AnyOldPrion · 08/07/2019 08:29

Apparently calling it out as sexualising children makes you the perverted one.

A bit like wanting sex segregation means you have a fascination with genitalia. Projection or DARVO?

I didn't have a TV at this time and was living in Ireland anyway. However someone on twitter mentioned Minipops, a channel 4 programme that had 2 million viewers. This was in 1983.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minipops

Hopefully this programme will elicit the same response.

failingatlife · 09/07/2019 08:49

Oh I vaguely remember mini pops.Terrifying how only a generation later society has totally lost its grip on what's appropriate for children. Especially when we consider all the CSA which has come to light in the intervening years. From celebrities to care homes to grooming gangs we know children are preyed upon. Why are we not doubling down on protecting them?

failingatlife · 09/07/2019 08:53

Twitter isn't happy. That video has only 460 likes 293 RTs but 3.2k replies. Listen to the public, woke corporations!

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 09/07/2019 09:14

Why are we not doubling down on protecting them?

Because more predators are in positions of power than ever before.

WhatTheWatersShowedMe · 09/07/2019 09:50

Gross. However, surely if this gets screened it's going to peak massive amounts of the general public who aren't off their gourd on the Koolade

failingatlife · 09/07/2019 10:25

Let's hope so whatthe. If the replies are anything to go by I'm hopeful.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 09/07/2019 11:18

Gross. However, surely if this gets screened it's going to peak massive amounts of the general public who aren't off their gourd on the Koolade

Or people will ignore it.

How is this not different to beauty pageants for tiny tots pre teens and little miss?

girlinabluedressagain · 09/07/2019 17:59

Does anyone remember the finale of LIttle Miss Sunshine?

LIfe imitating art.
