London Fire Brigade - Changing Facilities

Apparently London Fire Brigade have re-designated the female changing rooms at Mitcham fire station to mixed sex.

This from an organisation that has genuinely worked really hard recently to recruit more female firefighters and has its first ever female Commissioner.

Insanity.

So somebody is not telling the truth.

Over to London Fire to explain.

It sounds as though women's changing spaces are now available to men when women aren't in them. In the past I'd have said that was sensible. With all the camera tech now though, I'm not so sure. Maybe bug sweeping will have to be part of the cleaning regime now. Sigh.

I'm all for encouraging more women into the Fire Brigade.

Well you're not going to do that by taking away their facilities, are you?
