I’m going to write:
I am writing to convey my extreme disappointment that you are continuing to sponsor NZR & the All Blacks despite their inclusion of a player that committed an act of violence against a woman within the last 12 months. This player has missed one game for the assault. It is shocking that in 2019 this is still considered acceptable behaviour by someone representing their country, or adopted country, and that brands have no issue with this at all. NZ has the highest rate of domestic violence in the developed world and the tolerance for it is in part the responsibility of the rugby community, particularly those that fund it like yourselves. As we have seen in Australia, sponsors have the power to send important messages on social issues that will give support and reassurance to vulnerable groups, which survivors of violence are.
I sincerely hope you rethink your relaxed attitude to misogyny and the violence towards women and adopt a zero tolerance to violence of any kind. Until you do, you are very much part of the problem. That violent young man will have your logo right across his chest.
if you are a customer or were a customer you could also raise that.
