It would seem from this tweet that Girl Guiding UK is prepared to hand out badges to all and sundry in return for a regular donation. Practising guides have to put in a lot of time, effort and commitment to gain their badges....

How affirming must this feel for a confused young person.

Sorry bold fail...again.

ChattyLion · 21/06/2019 08:18

Seeing how far the boundaries can be pushed.

Needmoresleep · 21/06/2019 10:11

People working with children or vulnerable children should do due diligence.

Aimee is relatively young, but as OhHolyJesus suggests, already has quite a history, plenty of which wont show up on DBS but would be sufficient for each and every one of us to refuse to let Aimee take our children on a girl guide camp.

It is very sad. Someone brought up in a home full of perversion and abuse and without boundaries. The chances of them emerging unscathed are low. The right role models do not appear to have been there.

Kiwi farms have archived a large collection of, presumably verifiable, documents. Sufficient I think that the new Head of Stonewall should read to decide where their organisation might be drawing the lines on promoting Kink and Queer. Are they an organisation that is seeking acceptance for those who are attracted to their own sex, and those who face body dysmorphia, or are they campaigning for acceptance for the sort of sexual variety, that Aimee seems to have been exposed to from an early age. The latter is really problematic. Almost all parents will read archived material from when Aimee was 14 and agree that this is not OK. Our children must be protected. Does Stonewall really want to continue to fight a war that will tear our society and societal structures apart.

And Girl Guides. It is not sure what involvement Aimee has. She should not have any.

I am so glad I got my daughters out of girl guiding.

And this is the future of the Lib Dem's...

Juells · 21/06/2019 14:26

Perhaps GG send a badge to everyone who sets up regular donations? That would make sense.

Needmoresleep · 21/06/2019 14:44

Juells, that is probably right. However why is Aimee so interested in the GG as to set up a standing order. Is she copying an approach she has seen used by her father with the scouts, gym clubs, Greens etc?

Surely there are plenty of worthy Pantheon accounts who would welcome her donations!

RubberTreePlant · 21/06/2019 15:12

Yes AC getting a kick. Forced teaming. Manipulation. Provocation. The GG can't refuse their donation and probably haven't a clue that it is even that AC. But tweeting puts the GG in a position and AC knows that. AC thinks they are being clever but WE STILL SEE YOU.

This, this, this.

Wake up GG.

ChattyLion · 21/06/2019 16:37

With the horrific family background of having a scoutmaster father who is a convicted sexual torturer of a female child, why would an aspiring politician Hmm be having ANYTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the guides, brownies, or any organisation to do with young children, specifically young girls..?

Much less to be doing cute breezy little posts on their social media about having been sent a lovely Guiding badge in exchange for their regular donations and saying they know how important well run groups for girls are or whatever.

Jesus Christ.. show some respect.

When people used to say someone was not suitable for holding a senior political position because ‘they are barely out of nappies’ it used to be hyperbole.

Satterthwaite · 21/06/2019 16:54

Always that's funny Grin

ChattyLion · 22/06/2019 00:42

Always Grin

This persons interest in kids groups is deeply disturbing.
When I was that age I was not remotely interested in what kids were doing I was at Uni working hard/getting pissed and going clubbing. Kids were not on my radar. This person is a young adult. I really don’t like this it makes me wince. Girl guiding need to get their shit together.
