Tasmanian RadFem group to be consulted on public bathroom posters

Our group made Penis News!!

We are to be included in the consultation for the proposed 'trans-inclusive' posters that are to be displayed around the city.

This is a significant spanner in the works for our local TRA's. Hobart is the capital city of the first state in Australia to push self-ID into law. They were under the impression that they could also sneak these out without anyone noticing, but they got a rude shock.

Most Tasmanians have no idea what the laws even mean.

Members of our group were span on, verbally assaulted and followed as we tried to leave the Council Chambers in the dark afterwards. Yet we hear that they are the ones that have requested police protection for the next meeting...

Congrats from a Sydneysider :)

What are your plans for contributing ?

MapperTas · 11/06/2019 11:17
  • Spat on - and yes, there was an eighty year old woman who was on the receiving end of that.

@JanesKettle We will wait and see if they reach out to us before we make any decisions on that.

Our strategy was to disrupt the narrative and we have managed to do that so far, so whether the posters go ahead or not, it's a big win for us.

Congrats mapper

What violent ppl to spit on your group and try to follow

Violence in full view but they have no fear because we are just terfs now.
Not humans

JanesKettle · 11/06/2019 11:24

How revolting to spit on any person, let alone an elderly person, let alone an elderly woman. Tell her solidarity from me - I was spat on once by an anti abortion protestor - the bastards will never get us down.

JanesKettle · 11/06/2019 11:25

Well done on the disruption - I know that is a big win in the current Tas context. Sheroes.

They need police protection from you?? Lol, they really are something aren't they?

Reminds me of Bex Stinson, head of trans inclusion at stonewall. Stinson refused to go into the BBC Woman's Hour studio, because they feared for their safety.

Woman's Hour.

BBC

Honestly I don't understand why these utter idiots are pandered to.

Well done standing up for women's sex based rights. XX
