Rolled my eyes so much at this it's a wonder I'm not dizzy.
Apparently it is necessary and appropriate to force women to wear high heels to work.

When men are told to wear them, I’ll listen.

dancingcamper · 05/06/2019 18:56

How high are his heels?

Redshoeblueshoe · 05/06/2019 19:21

High heels for work
Ha ha ha ha
That's a no from me

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/06/2019 19:24

Yeah right. In the olden days (1990s) I had friends who worked for Japanese banks in the UK.

Bastions of feminism... they were not... although one was surprisingly tolerant and supporting of a transsexual who was having a very traumatic sex change process. That was back in the day before every other person was a colour of the ‘bow.

I'm sure things have changed now but I worked for Japanese company in the 80s. I was posted to a department which didn't usually have women working in it and was told that I was very lucky and was considered "an honorary man"

There was no sense that there was anything wrong with that statement!!

Did you ever go to a Japanese restaurant and use chopsticks? Always caused a lot of ‘ohhhh - you can actually use chopsticks!’ And if you could actually speak Japanese! A Korean friend was fluent in Japanese and was treated quite badly.

HorsewithnoHoldsBarred · 05/06/2019 20:13

How high are his heels?

Quite high, I'd imagine.

When he transitions.

1950s high.

MonstranceClock · 05/06/2019 20:16

Lord what does that statement have to do with wearing high heels to work??

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 05/06/2019 21:32

It was following on from my comments on people working for Japanese banks (back in the day). Not exactly treating women respectfully.
