@ImaginaryFoe "For those who may not be aware, Cathy Brennan is a lesbian feminist activist who was a voice in the wilderness about the misogyny of gender identity ideology long before it was even being discussed regularly on here (by just about anyone other than Dittany).
This violent person has apparently stolen Cathy's name as yet another abusive, appropriative act in the name of transactivism."
My initial reaction was, "That vile person is beneath contempt!!
!!!
!!!
!!!
On second thoughts, this is just such pathetic spiteful playground bullying!
@gingerginger2 What a bunch of miserable, wet blanket, whinging narcissists!
The footnote is interesting:
Article amendment (3-06-19): This article originally referred to comments Cathy Brennan made on Twitter last year regarding physical action against transphobic protestors.
The article quotes Brennan saying, "I received much criticism for demanding violent action against these TERFs."
So, the amendment serves to demonise "Get The L Out" even more than the original text?
" . . . trans protestors (at London and Glasgow Pride) were violently arrested while transphobic protestors continue to be treated with kid gloves."
Were "trans protestors" arrested? Violently or otherwise? I didn't know that.
Given Brennan's previous calls for violence against women, I wonder what this means?
" Unless meaningful action is taken against transphobes at Pride and in wider public life, then the situation will continue to deteriorate for trans people across the UK."
(my bolding)
Is it one of those "dog whistles" they are always bleating about whenever anyone does something so anodyne as quote the dictionary definition of "woman"?
