It contains a piece writing by trans woman Cathy Brennan, justifying their tweets last year that advocated violence against women holding different views to their own.

The tweet they are defending in this article stated

"Any trans allies at #PrideLondon right now need to step the fuckup and take out the terf trash. Get in their faces.Make them afraid. Debate never works so fuck them up"

In the article they state

"In 2018, transphobic group Get the L Out hijacked the front of the march at London Pride. Organisers and police (who were also part of the march) did nothing. I received much criticism for demanding violent action against these TERFs. By 'criticism' I mean that I was stalked for several months on Twitter by someone purportedly from Edinburgh. The goal of Get the L Out was to make trans people unwelcome at an event where they should have felt safe. In my opinion their actions already constitute a form of violence with long-lasting implications."

Brennan is a thug.

So depressing. Thuggish males threatening women and getting woke support for doing so.

Well, quite. Misogynist fuckers on Twitter are ten a penny. They burp their poison on that website unchecked, which is obviously notable in revealing Twitter's biases, but... when a no mark Twitter misogynist is given free reign in a publication to justify and promote violence against women, that's a whole other fish fry.

They were lesbian women making a political statement. Brennan's tweet broke the law - incitement to homophobic hatred. Brennan should have been prosecuted.

Article amendment (3-06-19): This article originally referred to comments Cathy Brennan made on Twitter last year regarding physical action against transphobic protestors.

The article quotes Brennan saying, "I received much criticism for demanding violent action against these TERFs."

So, the amendment serves to demonise "Get The L Out" even more than the original text?

" . . . trans protestors (at London and Glasgow Pride) were violently arrested while transphobic protestors continue to be treated with kid gloves."

Were "trans protestors" arrested? Violently or otherwise? I didn't know that.

Given Brennan's previous calls for violence against women, I wonder what this means?

Defending an incitement to violence against lesbians is a terrible, terrible look. Then falling back on “they were asking for it” and “they deserved it”, FFS! How can you do that and call yourself progressive? (Rhetorical question of course - none of this is progressive at all).

I’ve never heard of this Cathy Brennan until now, but I’ve certainly heard of the original one. I’m utterly gobsmacked that this person has taken Cathy’s name like that! What on earth?

The skinny are responsible for emboldening this obviously mentally ill person and giving him a platform.

They have now edited the article. I'm not sure if that's better than nothing or not.The tweeter points out later that the paper version had already been issued.

I wish they hadn't edited it, and raised eyebrows at the comment from the editor that it was a mistake to have used all of the person's article.

Why was it a mistake?

Because it's too honest and it shows the writer and the agenda for exactly what it is. So they know damn well what's wrong with it and wish to protect the writer and the agenda from the general public finding out the whole picture.

Put it out for all to see. Be honest about it. Own what you are supporting.

Edit all they like. They know that nothing ever disappears and trying to bury the cat crap never hides it completely.
