I went to see Jon Ronson tonight. He talked about his latest podcast series "The Last Days of August". It is about the American porn industry.

I was pleasantly surprised by Ronson's show (I haven't listened to the podcast yet). He was balanced, yet very critical of the porn industry. He didn't romanticize anything.

I heard him talking about this with Richard Herring- he sounded very critical of the porn industry.

I'm a big fan of Ronson. Everyone should read his book "So you've been publicly shamed" which is about internet witchhunts. Its very relevant to everything we discuss on this board. Also brilliant

I've listened to this. It's ok but not amazing IMHO.

He was balanced, yet very critical of the porn industry. He didn't romanticize anything.

In 'The butterfly effect' he seemed pro porn to me. Critical of the internet giants who have taken over, but extremely sympathetic to the old school pornographers, trying to sell dvds.

It's as if it's the business model he didn't like, not the pornography.

I'm surprised by that, as he really didn't have much positive to say when I saw him last night.

He did mention the Pornhub problem.
