Narcissism, "Gaslighting" and identity politics.

I just came across this article, which I believe sums up what is happening at the moment, with regard to identity politics, particularly the rise of the "Identarian left", the collective narcissism and the subsequent complete lack of empathy towards people who are outside of certain groups. The lack of empathy leads to a fear of speaking out, due to amount of vitriol and hate directed at people who are brave enough to challenge these "collectives".

Twitter is the perfect arena for the narcissist. All attention is good - whether that is positive strokes or negativity, it doesn't matter. Attention and self affirmation is all that counts. No ability for accurate self reflection at all. All doubt is turned outwards and directed at others, and any disagreement is ramped up to hysterical and abusive proportions.

Very interesting. Does seem to describe things on the Left very aptly and where we find ourselves with the trans issue.

Very interesting article and really does describe what is happening on the left at present. However as the closing sentence states the left is doomed until it rejects the narcisistic identitarians and sadly I think they have too strong a hold.
