US high school student files complaint, "sexual harassment" in locker room

Reading this and some of the comments within the story I thought it must be the Onion or something. So I double checked. It's true.

Some observers commenting on the Facebook page for the Law Office of Andrew H. Shaw, which is handling the case, also sided with the complaining female student, others were decidedly against her and her attorneys:

-- "Maybe the girl should take a course in how to be tolerant of others who are different. Now that would be the Christian way."
-- "Sounds like your client is the one who is guilty of voyeurism. WTF is she doing checking out other people's genitals? Shameful ambulance chasers."
-- "The student called the trans student a 'man.' I think we all know where this hate is coming from. From her parents. Using 'man' is scary! Transphobia is bigotry."
-- "F* you transphobes."

Good that lawsuits are being filed -- hopefully this will bring common sense into the untenable situation.

I'd like to think so but we're talking about a place which gives seemingly no shits about that fact that hundreds of students are shot every year just trying to go to lessens. I can't imagine they care about sexual harassment. Same here. Almost half a million sexual offences a year committed against women and people are more concerned about the idea that a man might be falsely accused of rape than the fact that 98% of rapists go unprosecuted. However we get society to care about this stuff, it isn't going to be through pointing out the suffering of women. On that point, society simply doesn't care.

I feel sorry for the girl. If the TW was staring at her then safe to say the TW wasn't in there because they was "feeling like a girl", but rather because they is not TW but an autogynephiliac.

Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but it seems to me that the young girl was trying to say that the other pupil in her changing room had an erection while watching the girl getting changed. Isn’t threat she’s trying to say it as a young teen girl, socially conditioned as feminine, she’s too shy or more likely too ashamed to name it as such.

Whatever - she saw through the clothing to see what the other pupil really was - a voyeur.

And thus subjecting her to sexual harassment.

This whole situation is getting sicker by the minute, and grown adults are afraid to speak out about it.
