Is your pregnancy app sharing your intimate data with your boss?
As apps to help moms monitor their health proliferate, employers and insurers pay to keep tabs on the vast and valuable data
Washington Post piece on how American firms are using pregnancy apps. On the face of it for the benefits of their health but there much more sinister stuff about how it actually benefits health insurance companies and employers and leaves women - particularly those with more complex births - at risk of discrimination and potentially being less employable.
Frightening stuff and quite shocking about how much women are freely giving away every tiny detail of their health.
Thought provoking.
