Gendered intelligence have a survey to help them plan the next five years. They've asked that the survey be shared and broadcast widely

You might be gender diverse, trans, gender free, an ally or 'Other' and it is really asking only one question - how can GI help to transform the lives of trans people, including young people and children?

Gendered Intelligence response to medical professionals whistleblown Safeguarding & Duty of Care concerns towards children is very concerning.
By dismissing investigative journalism based on interviews with professionals out of hand, they are demonstrating their failure to understand/respect Safeguarding & Child Protection frameworks.

My mate shared this on facebook this morning, they class themselves as 'non-binary' and apparently their suggestions were for gendered intelligence to start campaigning for third spaces for NB/trans people as the current campaigning of trying to make current areas mixed sex helps noone, especially not NB people. Good response I think, and makes a hell of a lot of sense as those who call themselves non-binary AND transwomen/transmen could use the areas, and a lot of the issues disappear in one swoop.

I have a feeling gendered intelligence will ignore responses like that though somehow

This morning I was reading the toolkits and checklists that Gendered Intelligence provided for schools in my local authority area.

It might be a good idea for GI to spend the next five years recalling the advice and republishing accurate information about the law and practice.

I'm not sure that schools will feel able to accept the revisions, updates and corrections from a GI source, once the scandal of affirming trans identities in children plays out.

This is a great chance to give them some constructive feedback!

That survey is worth less than the pixels it is displayed on! There is no way they can use it for any real purpose.

Surely you would generally have to be pansexual by default as you don't believe you personally have a sex or binary "gender" and you wouldn't reject all non binaries as a category? That would be a bit transphobic!

I think NB only reject their own gender.

The point is there is no real data collection about who is filling in the survey so I could have filled it in as a trans woman and they would not have known. And once you have done it it literally invites you to fill it in again. Seriously poorly designed.

It sounds to me as tho' your mate who is obviously gay will self describe himself as anything but gay.

Not really. They are very religious though, I know thats not automatically homophobic but..it tends to be more often. Mind, he never said his parents had any issue, but hes not a close close friend so maybe he wouldn't. His coming out as gay was quite uneventful, he was pissed off not more fuss was made apparently, where other gay friends said they would much prefer their parents to be just like 'oh, ok'. Hes still quite young compared to me, so expecting he will grow out of this when its not trendy anymore. Hes changed nothing. But he seems to be 'sensible' rather than screaming at people about pronouns and such so...meh.

I think religion plays a huge role in legitimising, promoting and validating homophobic attitudes.
