I can’t believe he has openly come out in an interview and said that the reason he is single is because dating the people he wants to date would end up with him going to jail.

“I won't marry a girl I can't raise from the age of 12, 13 or 14," he says.

There are plenty of men who have been quite open about their wish to take a young girl and shape her to be their ideal wife. It goes back to Rousseau's Emile and Sophie.

Um I call bullshit. That's why Jerry Lewis was condemned so widely when he married his 13 year old wife. As above underage marriage did sometimes happen. Usually when a girl got pregnant to her teenage boyfriend... (So both children will be legally recognised as part of the underage statistic) and occasionally, shamefully to hide abuse. I remember a particularly horrible story about a woman in Florida. Who then worked to change the law herself. I think the word you're looking for is "groomed" rather than "fell for" the latter phrase alludes to a type of victim blaming.
