What happened between Owen Jones and Sali Hughes over the weekend?

Apparently something all kicked off on Twitter and OJ incited a huge pile on to Sali?

He’s such an insufferable prick.

Not sure what happened exactly but Sali "set aboot him" good style.

Nothing less than he deserves, sanctimonious wee fudd that he is.

I’m mainly sorry I missed it because I would have really enjoyed seeing Sali year him a new one.

He was doing his usual 'leftist journos are oppressed and no one ever criticises Rod Liddle' bullshit, and she commented that he was talking nonsense, and he did that really weird dog with a bone style of tweeting at her, telling her to log off Twitter, and then said that she'd never 'called out racism' and essentially called her racist.

She was having none of it, and he got a proper verbal spanking from a woman who refused to be bullied.

It's been quite a heartening weekend for women masterfully responding to wokebro bullying and showing them up as swivel eyed loons while the women walk away with class and dignity intact.

I didn't know anything about Sali Hughes before. Good for her. She sounds like a practical sort of person. I have no respect whatever for those who disregard that and think they are virtuous because they spend their time preaching on Twitter.

My feeling is that many gay men feel that by their very nature they are sacrosanct, and now automatically cool, and woke enough, not to have to bother to look at or reflect upon their own prejudices. That recent letter signed by all of those prominent gay men was an act of celebration of their now cool social status. We are gay men. We have suffered. We are immune from criticism. Just by being a gay man we are on the right side of history. We know all about suffering and bigotry and stuff.....

Just a thought, totally agree. I work with a couple of gay men who if you in any way take issue with their work wheel out ‘but I’m a gay man’. It’s as though they have some kind of special immunity from real life
