It was at the very end of today's (Monday) episode, announced for next week. I wonder what it could include.

Health?

Angryresister · 11/03/2019 18:26

Ewis it worth writing in to state trans men's health is women's health and transwomenshouldbeinthe health is men's health? Probably not, but I did find the addition of T to L and even b very annoying.

Angryresister · 11/03/2019 18:28

Sorry something went wrong there..weird.should read transwomens health is men's health

TowelNumber42 · 11/03/2019 18:38

I hope they raise the dangers of taking cross sex hormones and so-called puberty blockers.

Until recently there has been ostrich-like behaviour around their side-effects on physically healthy people who hope to use drugs to gain the secondary sexual characteristics of their opposite sex. The drugs aren't benign. It needs discussing.

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 11/03/2019 19:03

I assume and hope they will discuss transmen’s Health.

JellySlice · 11/03/2019 19:29

If they're going to discuss trans health issues then I hope they discuss transmen's health, rather than the usual thing of discussing transwomen's whatever, with just a token mention of transmen (if any mention!).

SoloClarinet · 11/03/2019 19:59

Yes I do hope they discuss trans men's health.

JumpOrBePushed · 11/03/2019 20:08

Presumably mostly focused on the T aspect?

I might be missing something, but conception is the only area I can think of offhand where L & B health needs differ from those of heterosexual women.

OhHolyJesus · 11/03/2019 20:59

It might cover the demand of 'trans health is trans hands'. I hope that it does as Dr Rachel had a recent Twitter rant about male doctors conducting smear tests and how women need to suck it up basically and so if a trans person demands a trans doctor or specialist medical care for trans issues it would be a tad hypocritical wouldn't it, if women weren't 'allowed' to request the same.

Thanks for noting OP, I'll be listening out for this.

Angryresister · 13/03/2019 20:51

Well well well. After all while the T was mentioned in the run up and got a nominal mention during the programme, it turned out to be all about LESBIAN health and specific needs. Apparently the first time it has been discussed on WH. Clearly a lesbian who knew what she was talking about. 10 out of 10 for keeping the focus on women/ lesbians.
