Totally unsurprised by this news. How depressing that we know what happened before needing to be told. Yet another man kills his partner and her child.

9 months. That's all it took for him to feel he owned them.

The mother and sister of Clodagh Hawe have finally been granted an investigation into the brutal murder of Clodagh and her three sons by the husband/ father. Hopefully it will give this family some answers. If you can get RTE there was a pertinent programme by Clare Byrne last week. Many shocking legal process revealed and the relutance of state bodies to reveal files.

Oh that’s good news for them. Hopefully they’ll get some peace with that. Rather than long drawn out resistance and frustration.
