Never thought I'd be cheering for Piers Morgan. Who is this dreadful woke bro professor Ellis Cashmore?

OP posts:

Why do they keep inviting sociologists and philosophers to rant on about these subjects? They simply make stuff up, unlike scientists.

Becuase no one else will.

The clip is now on YouTube;

Wow that guy is a prick.

Because it's the 21st century.
Because inclusivity.

What a prize nob.

I am responding to his arguments with the amount of respect that they deserve.

That clip is such an interesting observation of male socialisation isn't it? Susanna saying she is scared of saying the wrong thing and Piers bounding in and saying 'well I'm not'. Then Piers and Ellis just arguing and talking over each other for most of the segment whilst Sharron and Susanna barely get a word in edgeways.

Piers asking Sharron what should we do about it to make it fair: the best answer for that is 'that is not women's problem to solve I'm afraid'.

Despite everything, even the CBB stuff, I kind of have a soft spot for India. The way they proudly said 'I have less testosterone than a lot of women who were born women', it reminded me of when Posie said to India on this morning that she 'obviously outwardly looks like a woman' and India visibly preened. Its kind of sweet really, and although I still think India is very much out for themselves, and a lot of what they say is about reading the room, I get the feeling they don't want to throw women under the bus in the way that some TRAs are desperate to do.

Ellis Cashmore was just talking bollocks really wasn't he, he didn't say anything of substance at all apart from 'it's the 21st century'. And what?

Iused2BanOptimist · 04/03/2019 22:57

Just caught up with it. Susannah sat there looking like she had just had a big enema and if she moved or opened her mouth it would all poor out so she just had to concentrate on clenching her bottom for the next half hour. How lucky she had her alpha male sitting next to her to take the flak.

He's so chuffed with his renta gob status. He will be demanding a payrise at work on the back of his media advisory role.

This is the 21st century and men are still men. As he so clearly demonstrated.
