Not sure this the right place but you ladies are so knowledgeable I thought I'd ask...sorry and I'd understand if it needs to be shut down.

I won't go too much into detail but a member of the family told us a few years ago that she had been raped and abused by her cousin from the age of 6. She did not want any further action taken. Long story why.

Sadly this woman died of cancer last year. The vile paedophile is still walking free.

There is literally nothing that can be done now that she has died is there? Would the Police be interested at all?

I'm not an expert so this is purely opinion

You can report it to the police but the evidence is heresay only so they can't and won't bring a case. However if others also report him to the police it helps paint a picture.

After Savile I made a report about my childhood gp, I can't remember dates or what I'd been taken to him about as I was so young. Just remember being shocked he'd 'need' to examine an area I didn't even have the words for then, as what was wrong was nowhere near. I told the police I wanted it left on record for if there were any other complaints about him.
