Tommy Robinson Supporters send abuse to Rape Crisis

This man inspires other men to hate women.

You can't defend this outrageous racist misogynist on the basis of "free speech" when that means attacking leaflets that would give information to help women recover from male violence.

Robinson supporters target rape crisis with abuse at his incitement

Robinson's comments on the translation service offered by Rape Crisis are utterly misleading and disgusting.
I hope he goes to prison for this.

FloralBuntingIsObnoxious · 16/02/2019 21:59

He's got to have stepped over the line now, surely? The comments were all egging each other on to block the lines. There's no justification for it all, it was just designed to stop BAME women accessing the service. That's pure, unadulterated racist misogyny. He might as well be a skinhead at this point. I suspect his main issue is that he's not very bright, doesn't have a clue how various systems work, and is lost in his own folk hero fantasy.

ComputerSaysMo · 16/02/2019 22:05

Surprise surprise - right wing men attack rape crisis centres for having comms specific to ethnic minority women in an area where lots of ethnic minority women live, left wing men attack rape crisis centres for not including & centering men.

Just for ONCE I would like to see some ACTUAL support for women & girls. But men on the right and left never think about what we need, do they? It’s all about how they can use us to attack each other without planning to do a damned thing about male violence.

'You can't defend this outrageous racist misogynist on the basis of "free speech"'

Who is doing that?

Jeanhatchet · 16/02/2019 22:15

@QuietContraryMary

It's a common defence of his supporters.

Jesus, what utter twats.

MillytantForceit · 17/02/2019 08:42

Waxy Lemon is the new pet of the current UKIP leader.

Gentlygently · 17/02/2019 09:50

Surely the only sane response to his comment is ‘no you utter idiot, this is designed to help as many women as possible’?

SinisterBumFacedCat · 17/02/2019 09:59

When I see he has 1 million followers, I really do wonder if parts of our society are actively de-evolving?

MillytantForceit · 17/02/2019 10:00

Most of his followers are across the sea in Trumpland.

Ambroise · 17/02/2019 10:59

Conatus News have an article on this and the weaponisation of women’s trauma.

“Tommy Robinson, recently made adviser to UKIP on the subject of grooming gangs, is just another in a long list of men exploiting women’s trauma to score political points.”

It's a common defence of his supporters.

Nobody here would defend sexism or racism, on the grounds of ‘free speech’ though, thankfully.

Funkyfunkybeat12 · 17/02/2019 11:23

Absolutely disgusting. Free speech is not the basis to fight any of this fight, because you end up helping scum like that get established in the process.

antifa · 17/02/2019 11:27

"I'm interested in what he has done that makes him such a hate figure?"

Hopefully Posie no longer needs to ask that question.

Twitter/Facebook/Instagram 'followers' can be bought. Mostly bots and dead accounts created for the purpose.

Going by the comments, the publicity generated by TR's vile actions are actually doing good.
