I'm just passing the time, scrolling through the cess pit that is Twitter, wondering why it still exists, and taking solace in the fact that intelligent people are still there battling against the madness.

I do occasionally fool myself that I can't be shocked further, but the linked tweet brought home to me the visceral anger of black women at the way they are being used by the AWAs to adorn Genderism. I personally get very angry at the homophobia inherent within trans ideology, but the racism is just as disgraceful.

Would like to try for an intelligent contribution but all I've got is WTAF! In polite speak..... words fail me.

And can I just point out I very deliberately tweeted the link to her fiercely angry response, not the disgusting person who caused her to express it. I am determined to amplify women's voices, not the nasty people determined to use racism and any other means to get their own way.

That person is a well known American TRA with a platform.

TRAs often use black women as their cover, but as soon as a black woman speaks out against them - like Linda Bellos - they demonise her. So much for 'shut up, sit down and listen'.

I’ve noticed the racism as well. The homophobia and misogyny has always been there. They probably thought “hey, being an utter bigot so far has been super easy so may as well throw in the racism too”.

I went looking for the original tweet as it’s been deleted. Checked KiwiFarms and surprise surprise, Katelyn Burns (transscribe) is a remarkably nasty piece of work. Check out the piece Jesse Singal wrote about his clash with Katelyn. It’s wild how so many TRAs are actual cartoon villain levels of “bad person.”

KF didn’t have the tweet so my curiosity remains unsatisfied. But I’ve seen that brand of racism from TRAs before. It’s horrible. The “black women are masculine” lie is used to make black women feel bad about themselves from childhood on and it has to suck to see all these comparisons between black women and transwomen.

I saw the tweet, but didn't screenshot it. It was trying to justify transwomen competing in women's sport, and it said that 'cis' black women have thicker bones than 'cis' men. The argument was building up to black people being advantaged over white people in sport, but we don't segregate sport on racial lines. It was also full of the old 'black women are women just like transwomen are women' line, which is what really upset people - basically saying that black women are like men.

Does anyone know what it said? I'm pretty disgusted as even without it I'm getting the gist.

If this was in Humberside I'd be calling the police for this is a hate crime surely? It is more of a hate crime as a racist, misogynistic statement than a dictionary definition of a woman.

I avoid twitter now, aside from the odd link I see here, as like you OP I never ceased to be amazed as the depth of filth and stupidity. I'm really pleased that Megan Murphy is suing Twitter, I hope she wins.

If Liam Neeson gets monstered for a very bad angry thought many years ago for which he is deeply ashamed, then I don't think currently tweeting appalling racist misogyny should get a pass with a simple whoops, delete moment. There is no way that Burns is going to repudiate the argument because 'trans women are the same as black women' is a staple of their case.

The ‘black women aren’t reeeeealy’ women thing is beyond disgusting. It’s multiple layers of racism. The kind of thing that gets abuse thrown at the Williams sisters for being ‘male’ and fetishises small Asian women.
It’s AGP at its peak - because a fetishised version of a woman can’t possibly be a woman who isn’t white or light skinned, dainty, submissive and up for it constantly. Everything positive about womanhood that can threaten maleness is dismissed - our strength, our athletic ability or twisted into a sick caricature (reproduction, menstruation.)
