The responses to it are great. There is something extra offensive about actually crossing the word out isn't there. Not seeing any defence of them either which is unusual, you'd normally expect a few TRAs to jump in.

I saw that! They're comprehensively getting their arse handed to them but just keep occasionally bleating the world "inclusive".

I saw a fair few TRAs defend women being called 'bleeders' but yeah it's true that things that don't impact transwomen are often ignored.

Trying to imagine an organisation literally crossing out any other protected characteristic, let alone refusing to delete after so much offence caused. Wouldn't happen.

They are indeed. I quite like that they haven't just removed the thread and have engaged with the responses. Hopefully they will think through this issue more carefully.

If a campaign for better treatment of women while they are on their period (mostly working with organisations in countries that wouldn't have a scooby-do about this debate) can't understand that erasing women is bad- then what hope is there?

Can you imagine the uproar if Prostate Cancer UK started crossing out men from their campaign material in favour "persons" or called their web page "persons united" and said t"the purpose was to include all male bodies even if they don't identify themselves as male" -that would be seen as a gross invalidation of trans women's identities. Why is this same not happening here, whey is acknowledging that trans men have female biology not offensive to trans men?

Being a woman = sex. Female. Biology.

They need to stop talking about biology in the language of gender. What is the matter with the truth - it is perfectly OK to feel like a man but have female biology.

Why are there so many period organisations all of a sudden? Seems really odd, to go from none to tonnes, and they all seem to be tripping over their woke tails.

Imagine if the word men was crossed out? This week the internet went into mealtdown because Gillette implored men to behave like baseline decent human beings after all.

Transmen are allowed to be acknowledged as being female but if anyone dared to include transwomen in the category of male they get banned from social media, bombarded with threats and abuse and get the police knocking on the door.

It’s so obvious to anyone who wishes to look with an open mind, or indeed a mind with even the merest chink of receptiveness, what is going on. It reminds me of that picture of Shon ‘enjoy your erasure’ ripping up that sticker that said ‘womens’ sex based rights.’ It’s just so blatant. It’s right there staring everyone directly in the face, with a big arrow pointing to it lit up in rainbow coloured lights, but people just can’t, or more likely won’t see it.
