Sandi says that it's not true that there is a difference between men's and women's brains. Gender differences are the product of socialization.

Was she talking about brain function and the stereotypes associated with men and women?
Such as men are better at parking, women are better at multi-tasking.

She didn't elaborate - it seemed to be an emphatic statement which to my ears was a bit of a gc declaration. Maybe I'm being too hopeful because I love Sandi...

didn't Sandi support Tara Hudson being moved to a women's prison? As I think there's a direct line from that action to Karen White, I'm not sure I can really forgive her.

I never saw Sandi's personal view on this but WEP most definitely did, and she represented WEP.

The thread back in 2015, where a lot of us were more or less pleading for reassurance that WEP didn't actually believe males should be in women's prisons and Sophie Walker eventually popped on briefly to say that yes they did, began as Sandi promoting WEP but with no apparent awareness that we might want to ask questions or have a discussion.

I lost some respect for Sandi then and I've lost just about all respect for her now, because she must be aware of what's going on and her comments suggest that she disagrees with it, but she hasn't had the guts to stand up with the Eight Pride Lesbians or with Jonathan Best et al and call Stonewall out for homophobia.

Quite a lot of people supported Hudson at the time, and have subsequently thought better of it. It would be good to know what Sandi thinks now - a simple question if by any chance she comes across the thread - will she now support the petition, preferably publicly, to review the prison guidelines?

Is Sophie walker back in the public eye now? She has begun tweeting a bit.
