Hi all,

I occasionally post here; in the past I've written a couple of articles that have gone down well on this forum on the whole transgender issue ( here and here )

I'm posting to draw attention to an event some of you may be interested in - Women of Colour Against the Sex Trade.

The event is being hosted by Space International (www.spaceintl.org/), an organisation fighting to abolish the global sex trade. It will bring together women of colour from across the globe to discuss their experiences in prostitution and/or of frontline service provision to women in prostitution, and their collective opposition to the global sex trade.

Speakers include: Ne'cole Daniels; Ally Diamond; Mickey Meji; Rose Cameron; Roella Lieveld; Vednita Carter; Bridget Perrier and Suzanne Jay. It's the very first event of its kind (ever!) in the UK, and tickets are only £7.50, including a drinks reception afterwards.

Hope to see some of you there!

Hi Tom

Good luck with, what sounds like, a brilliant and timely initiative.

I would love to see the reaction of leading feminists lights in the Green Party and the Liberal Democrats to an event with such a powerful title.
