Not sure if I've done the link correctly but read this today -

mol.im/a/6557641

Victim blaming at its finest.

BonBonVoyage · 04/01/2019 21:11

Oh my God. That's beyond outrageous

SpareRibFem · 04/01/2019 21:26

That's appalling

ErrolTheDragon · 04/01/2019 21:27

Blimey. WTF did this judge think she should have done?Confused

AnyFucker · 04/01/2019 21:34

That makes me furiously angry

HawkeyeInConfusion · 04/01/2019 21:43

That is appalling.

At least the comments below the article also agree it is wrong.

HomeStar · 04/01/2019 21:50

Only 90,000 compensation for lifelong paralysis - and she only gets part of it?

Hope someone throws that judge out a window, and another judge rules that he doesn’t deserve compensation because he should have expected it after making a ruling like that.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/01/2019 21:58

Yeah i saw that

Fucking ridiculous!!

Then just under the article there was another article about a woman being in a vegetative state in hospital for 10 years...giving birth

So then i stopped reading

Concernedmamab · 05/01/2019 03:36

Fuck this shit.

FlyingOink · 05/01/2019 04:10

He got 15 years, at least

charis · 05/01/2019 05:21

Rules of misogyny. Women are to blame for men's violence (but NAMALT) Poor woman 😐

Bowlofbabelfish · 05/01/2019 06:07

The mail’s new editor seems to recognise that women are treated appallingly around the world. They have run several articles like this recently.

The mail has a huge circulation, their editorial leaning has a big impact on British popular opinion. It’s really positive that they are doing this.

As for the story itself... fucking hell.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 05/01/2019 08:32

I think the appeal will be successful. That must be a rogue judge. That ruling will not stand it's completely absurd.

GerryblewuptheER · 05/01/2019 08:35
Angry

You cant advise someone leave, then not help them do so. Where was she supposed to go.

If they thought he was a danger why not make him.leave?

Poor poor woman

Doobigetta · 05/01/2019 09:06

Why the fuck wasn’t HE locked up or removed from the home, if he wasn’t safe to be around?

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 05/01/2019 09:09

This is outrageous and utterly obscene. What was the judge thinking?

What an utter disgrace - and people tell me I'm being over dramatic when I talk about the hatred of women. Vile vile vile.

ravenscaw · 05/01/2019 09:18

I read this last night and wept.

QuietContraryMary · 05/01/2019 09:27

This is the scheme, the FGTI

It seems €90k was awarded

Lawyers for the Civi have claimed partial responsibility and reduced it to 67.5k, which has been paid. There is now an appeal in respect of the remaining 22.5k

I am not sure that the DM's report of a 'judge' is accurate, but I don't understand French law, so....

AntiSocialInjusticePacifist · 05/01/2019 18:07

Was there ever a criminal trial? I mean this chap should be in prison surely?

buckeejit · 05/01/2019 19:20

Just came to see if there was a thread on this after reading it. Can not believe it. Partly to blame for going back to her home?

powershowerforanhour · 06/01/2019 22:02

That's a new one on me.
Women, if you get yourselves defenestrated, it's probably your own fault.
Some hearteningly sensible BTL comments - mostly by women.

Badgerthebodger · 06/01/2019 23:38

Fucking HELL. Just. Fuck. There is literally nothing that can be done to women that isn’t at least partially their fault is there? Left to die after being sexually assaulted with a bottle of carpet cleaner? She consented. Thrown out of a window and paralysed? Well, she went back in to her home didn’t she? Raped by a piece of shit while you’re in a permanent vegetative state? Fuck knows, but it was only an alleged rape. Probably her fault. Probably breathed or something.

Anyway NAMALT, obviously and why must feminists always be hating on men? Nasty old sour puss feminists, calling out the MEN responsible for their MALE violence.

*I would like to state, for the record, that my above post is heavily sarcastic and not actually what I believe. Just because I am aware that other pieces of shit like to screenshot this board to prove something.
