Hannah Graf was on the program last week.

Interesting that the Sunday Times articles critical of Mermaids and Stonewall etc don't seem to have been discussed

Hannah Graf and her husband, Jake are patrons of Mermaids.

"In his June 1959 letter to Gibson, Fleming writes that Galore “only needed the right man to come along and perform the laying on of hands in order to cure her psycho-pathological malady”

Bond broke the cotton ceiling.

Because not wanting cock is like schizophrenia or psychosis.

Hmm

I'm bi rather than lesbian and there are still times when I want to randomly shout "your cock is just not as important as you think it is!"

I’m serious about Modesty Blaise. The books are great. Make a proper, non-spoof, film of Modesty Blaise.

There are great female characters who can lead their own franchise anyway: Laurie Strode (Halloween), Ellen Ripley (Alien), Sarah Connor (The Terminator), Wonder Woman, Alice (Resident Evil), Katniss Evergreen (The Hunger Ganes), Lara Croft (Tombraider), etc. There’s no need to change the sex of an existing male character.

Adapting one of the great literary female heroes (Joanna Russ has a few) would introduce the character to a wider audience.

AspieAndProud · 23/12/2018 14:58

There’s even a series of books about Miss Moneypenny.

AngryAttackKittens · 23/12/2018 14:58

I saw an analysis of female led action franchises once and financially speaking they do extremely well. The Alien, Resident Evil, and Terminator franchises all made a ton of money.

AngryAttackKittens · 23/12/2018 14:59

The current Miss Moneypenny is great too, I'd rather see a film about her.

Fantata · 23/12/2018 15:24

I absolutely love the idea of Miss Moneypenny taking forward the Bond franchise. Surely a spin-off must be a possibility

Anlaf · 23/12/2018 15:35

I luffs Modesty Blaise too Aspie

userschmoozer · 23/12/2018 15:35

I did wonder if they were planning that after watching the last two...I hope so. If they do I hope they keep Naomie Harris.

I think this is silly. Dominic West has no influence over who should be the next James Bond, this clearly wasn’t a serious suggestion and they obviously aren’t about to cast an unknown soldier with no acting experience in the part, trans or otherwise. As a talking point for BH and a stand alone news story it’s a bit desperate.

I don't even know where to start with this. Not without being deleted anyway.

Ditto.

I love the suggested film titles.
