Natalie Connolly
Christina Abbotts
Raneem Oudeh
Khaola Saleem (Raneem's mother)

There has (rightly) been several threads about Natalie Connolly's horrific murder but I thought maybe a separate thread just to remember these women as people, outside of what these men did to them. To think of the lives they won't now lead, to think of Natalie's daughter growing up without her mother and their families grief.

I could make this thread weekly and there would always be names to add Sad Angry

Thanks for this. Just took a moment to think of them and their families. RIP. Flowers

Remembering each woman named here as a person with hopes and dreams. Eternal rest for them, peace for their families and transforming anger among the rest of us to change the society that produced their killers.

Let's add Sarah Wellgreen to this list - her partner has today been arrested for her murder. Mother of 5 and her body still missing.

starcrossedseahorse · 21/12/2018 21:01

Yes I read about Sarah today. Heartbreaking.

I remember reading about her earlier in the year. Terrible news.

I have written to the attorney general. Quite a long email outlining my concerns in this particular case, and in similar cases in general.

My heartfelt sympathy for her family and all the families of the women murdered. I can’t begin to imagine what they go through. I can only be absolutely furious and write letters.

If any other petitions/ places to raise concerns about this become clear please let me know.

The two murdered Scandinavian backpackers Louisa Vesterager Jespersen from Denmark and 28-year-old Maren Ueland from Norway who deserve a better headline than this.

Oh fucking hell ClingFilm Angry

In other places it was just reported as Scandinavian backpackers found dead, I hadn't realised they were women.

Do the male victims of murder ever get described by the colour of their hair? Whoever wrote that headline should be ashamed of themselves.

Ereshkigal · 21/12/2018 23:16

I was just reading about them.

To all the women named Thanks

nicenewdusters · 21/12/2018 23:27
