I'm not impressed by a Farther Christmas. I think they should have a Nearer Christmas.

I kind of like it that we have an archetypal bloke scurrying round trying to organise Christmas on behalf of everyone else.

You are all superstitious heathens, one way or the other. There is no Father Christmas. Nor a Mother Christmas. What happens is that on Christmas Eve baby Christ flies around and brings the presents. No, not through a chimney!

I think anyone who wants to should be able to self identify as Santa.

Well, the rather inaccurate legend goes that he slapped Arius for saying Jesus isn't God, and another legend says he secretly donated the dowries to some poor women who couldn't marry without them.
