Pft, pot kettle etc. Saw one of the biggest pieces of batshittery from one of my trans friends on fb yesterday.

There's a bit in the transgender trend school kit where they say get your child to their medical appointments but try to schedule them outside schiool hours if possible because they need their education.

Apparently this "While sounding reasonable, in reality it is at best completely unhelpful, more realistically encouraging the limit of access to the Tavistock which is the only place for the kids to be assessed in the NHS and which certainly cannot support just having appointments outside school time."

I mean ffs. Talk about making it up as you're going along......

I nearly went batshit at family Xmas yesterday, as my young transwoman relative trotted out the same tired script: Tumblr/misgendering/TERFs/wrong-headed feminism.

While at the same time, exhibiting classic male-privilege; turning up for Xmas lunch empty-handed, happily watching women prepare food and organise lunch, all the sitting and checking phone, while whining that we weren’t sufficiently organised.

For the sake of my affection for their mother, I bit my tongue (but failed my sisters, I am sorry).

I have considerable affection for this young person, but no respect at all for their lack of self-awareness or consideration for anyone but their precious self.

It’s been a batshit year and 2019 is looking fair to be more batful than Dracula’s belfry, but FWR has been a haven of good sense and hilarity. Virtual champagne to all.
