This article yesterday is very promising, the issues surrounding participation in women’s sports are explained in clear terms. It feels like the tide is turning with articles like this in the Guardian of all places!

There are no comments though, wonder why?

I think that is an excellent article. I shared it on facebook and it then got further shared by a friend of mine. Everyone I know thinks the upper female testosterone level of 10 for the olympics is ridiculously high as well.

from the article

“Even after transition, on average, transgender women are taller, bigger and stronger than cisgender or ‘normal’ women. However, transgender women have disadvantages too. When they transition they have substantial loss of muscle strength and aerobic capacity, which causes them problems with agility, quickness and stamina.”

Thus argument is solely relative to the individual.
A sportsperson of either sex who has significant medical or surgical intervention is likely to experience a reduction in speed, strength, stamina etc.

If a male person has surgery, chemo and/or radiotherapy should he be entitled to compete against females because he might likely have substantial loss of muscle strength and aerobic capacity, which causes them problems with agility, quickness and stamina?

The Guardian has published many supportive articles about & by Hannah Mounsey.

Its worth being aware of Mounsey.

That article read like something the Guardian might have published 5 years ago

Very interesting article. Sean Ingle is generally a good sports writer and i am glad that he tackled this.

What, this Hannah Mouncey? Courtesy of Rose of Dawn.

yes that Mouncey.

Currently competing in the Asian group Handball women's competition I believe.

Sean Ingle is married to a keen runner (she does international marathons etc) - that may be having an influence.
