What is it with all the back stabbing, gossiping and generally putting other women down. It hurts and makes my blood boil. We should be helping and supporting each other. At a meeting today the only other two women at a meeting eye rolled when I spoke. I can’t believe I witnessed that.
Any tips or words of wisdom to not let this get to me and strategy to support other women.

My team is mainly women; and we're all bloody lovely! One new lady was a bit mean girl; we told her we aren't like that round these parts, she got the message, and all is fine and dandy again.

I'm sorry to hear you are having to deal with petty BS, op. Totally agree that you should be talking to your supervisor/boss/HR rep/etc if you can do so.

Personally, all the jobs I have had have been heavily female-leaning and I have never experienced these kinds of Mean Girl shenanigans. Hell, the best boss I ever worked for was a woman, and she was awesome precisely because she was the anti-meangirl. She had high standards but absolutely recognized when those standards were being met or exceeded, and she actually stuck up for all of us in her department when upper management decided to come wag their fingers at us for one reason or another (when she could have just rolled over and unloaded the blame onto us, like a different manager I had the misfortune to work for).

God, I miss that woman. Awful job, but I would work for her again in a heartbeat.
