Just been on Sky paper review Dr Joanna ??? brings up Telegraph article about rise in number of men identifying as women since being put in prison. Talks about duty of care. The Male sky bloke on sunrise puts in that she's assuming that they're not legitimate. Nigel Nelson (from the Mirror) agrees with Sky bloke. She reiterated that she's sceptical. Sky bloke and Mirror bloke uncomfortable at her comments. Sky's Gillian Joseph says nothing.

Anyone catch who Dr Joanna was and where she was from?

It was Joanna Williams

Thanks!

I was just impressed because she was very succinct. Wouldn't be put off.

They way the others reacted, it was like she'd been outrageous.

Don't know her but I like her tweet - 'watch and make your own minds up' appeals much more to the neutral than 'here's what to think'.

Saw that. The blokes were appalling - it was so obvious that they consider pandering to men to be a higher priority than ensuring women's safety and security. It was obvious that Joanna Williams thought so too but was too polite to press the point.

Women come last. Angry

I wish she'd said that but there wasn't the time and maybe it was better the way it was; undiluted.

Yeah, the newspaper review is supposed to be chatty and fairly light-hearted, so I guess she didn't want get into a big argument at 8am. I don't think I'd have had her restraint however. The blokes were all "What could possibly go wrong with having actual men in a women's prison?" Talk about tone deaf!

It felt like a pre arranged "line that we toe"
