Another day. Another labour woman hounded by Fragrant Lily and the Thought Police.

Now she's going after her Labour Party branch chair for wrong think.

Does Lily actually do any work though?

NotMeOhNo · 19/11/2018 07:21

Wow! This is... highly newsworthy I would think.

KatVonGulag · 19/11/2018 07:22

Ha, maybe not. But it certainly sums up the spirit of 2018

OP posts:
Nicoandtheniners · 19/11/2018 07:25

Which retweet is she bothered about? The wpuk one? Which is a link about yesterday's mail on Sunday article? Hardly blatant transphobia.

Lily needs to get a grip.

BathFullOfEels · 19/11/2018 07:29

So Lily is saying she can’t work with people who mention women being discriminated against because of their sex and wants a vote of no confidence for daring to mention it. And yet she claims to represent women Confused.

Seriously, how can anyone think that is an acceptable response?

KatVonGulag · 19/11/2018 07:29

I think acknowledging biological sex in any way is highly transphobic.
Burn witches burn

OP posts:
BathFullOfEels · 19/11/2018 07:32

I just went to read her tweets and I’ve been blocked by her Confused. I’ve never followed her before, or tweeted anything even vaguely to do with trans stuff. How weird.

DoctorTwo · 19/11/2018 07:34

Madigan is a really tedious knucklefucker.

HamiltonCork · 19/11/2018 07:34

lily “can’t work with”? She’s never done any work in her entire life.

Serfisafleur · 19/11/2018 07:35

LM did actually admit that women having rights was deemed to be transphobic in itself.
So all women's rights orgs are blatantly transphobic by default according to this forme "women's officer".
I hope they remain far away from any political influence.

KatVonGulag · 19/11/2018 07:37

The Labour Party need to stop this.

OP posts:
KatVonGulag · 19/11/2018 07:56

I'm really hoping the vote of no confidence fails. Come on labour

OP posts:
ChattyLion · 19/11/2018 08:01

This is completely bonkers and awful. Women can’t have any opinion if they want to be active in the Labour Party. Really?

NotTerfNorCis · 19/11/2018 08:01

"I can't work with someone who shares this."

Resign, then. You don't get to dictate what other people believe.

NotTerfNorCis · 19/11/2018 08:09

So over the last couple of days Madigan has pursued two people for minor acts of wrongthink: a woman in the Labour Party, and a college porter.

There's also this piece of oddness: twitter.com/LilyMadigan98/status/1064260767384592384?s=19 'I like attention. They don't have a lot to spare. My heart will get hurt.' Bloke retweeted it, Madigan calls him creepy.

RetiredNotExpired · 19/11/2018 08:35

Also this today: twitter.com/LilyMadigan98/status/1064423292688318464

Yet neither google image search or tineye can find that doctored image anywhere apart from on LM's twitter feed.

AngryAttackKittens · 19/11/2018 08:38

Lily is in desperate need of hearing the word "no" more often.

LangCleg · 19/11/2018 08:50

Orlando Watt is a male transgender person. Jus' sayin'.

Weezol · 19/11/2018 08:57

Signing/starting online petitions, begging for money and tweeting is neither 'work' or 'campaigning'.

KatVonGulag · 19/11/2018 08:59

Ahh Orlando must be the "wrong sort" of trans person

OP posts:
KatVonGulag · 19/11/2018 09:02

retired
So the only place that doctored image can be found looks like being LM's own twitter feed?!
How odd.

Please Goldsmith give lily lots of homework to fill her time constructively. Please.

LM is aiming at a career in politics. If I ruled the world, I would pass a law that nobody could become a full-time politician without being able to demonstrate having spent a substantial amount of time on non-political work, paid or otherwise - the humdrum stuff most of us have to do at least at the start of our working lives, which is invaluable in learning what other people's lives are like, how to work and get on with other people as part of a team, how to learn from mistakes, how to cope with difficult people and rise above petty annoyances, how to make ends meet on a small income, and so on and so forth.

Touring the country preaching to the converted, starting vendettas against people who disagree with you, accepting free flights to Los Angeles, featuring in Teen Vogue and sitting on a committee for a subject with which you have no obvious logical connection* wouldn't count as relevant work experience.

*LM claims to work with GirlsWhoCode. What background in computing does LM have? Also, I thought initiatives to get more girls into STEM were aimed at biological girls, as there is no shortage of biological males in STEM, including some who now identify as female. So why use a trans woman as a figurehead?

KatVonGulag · 19/11/2018 09:13

I agree totally. Career politicians with no real world experience make a mockery of democracy.

The girls can code thing is weird. Does LM code or does LM just use her computer skillz for hunting gc women on Twitter?

OP posts:
Bittermints · 19/11/2018 09:22

Made me think of AC, actually. A more natural choice, given AC's notable skills in constructing blocklists.

sorenipples · 19/11/2018 09:24

LM is claiming that she had no part in removing Anne Ruzylo from her WO role. What is the evidence she did?
