Saw this posted on twitter. It's heart-breaking that someone would put themselves through 9 years of hormones, plus surgery, and then come out of it feeling exhausted and that they no longer have their sanity.

Reinforces my already strongly-held views that kids & adolescents who decide they're transgender need psychological help first and foremost and that we, as a society, have to do more to rid ourselves of stereotypical gender descriptors.

Oh it’s so sad
He had sanity now he doesn’t
So full of regrets he seems and so tired with it all

What comes across most, watching this person's videos, is the obsessive level of performance.
This person is performing a role of masculinity on every level through to taking hormones and getting phaloplasty.

This person is not "living their authentic life" I do not and cannot see any trans person as "living their authentic self" because so much of their life is wrapped up in performance. Artificially propped up with drugs, hormones and surgery.

It's tragic that this person has been let down and has required more than one phaloplasty surgery and is now in constant pain. It is an utter tragedy. Their dependence on taking testosterone (which is linked to an increased risk of cancer) to fulfil their image, this ideal of being a man, is based on a false premise.
