An aging right wing white male pollie (so the regular type) has declared that he is now a woman and therefore the left wingers need to stop telling him that as a male he has no right to an opinion on abortion.
I’m fascinated by the conversations in my fb feed where people who are generally NOT gender critical (and who most likely believe that Cis and Trans are real things) are saying that unless he ‘smiles more’ or ‘shaves his legs’ or ‘takes a pay cut including retrospectively’ then he’s not really female.
How do they know that other gender switch people are validly trans and therefore in need of support and not him?
And how is he mocking trans people (as a responding politician accused in the article) if he is now trans himself? And back to the previous question - How do we determine who is declaring gender for ‘acceptable’ reasons and who is not? What is the litmus test?
