I'm linking this paper simply because I thought it was very interesting that the results in males were different to females, and the link to how early child hood neglect can tend to affect males later in life than females. Coupled with stereotypical masculinity (lack of emotional literacy etc - I'm thinking the sort of things explored in no more girls and boys by the bbc) there's one potential reason/ cause for male violence in society.
Obviously so many variables etc etc but I thought it was interesting.
